Provisional vs final teeth
Ask whether teeth fitted around surgery are provisional or definitive, what material is planned and when the final bridge is reviewed or fitted.

All-on-4 is a full-arch implant concept in which a fixed restoration is supported by four implants in selected cases. The number “four” is not a guarantee that every jaw is suitable or that every patient should have the same implant positions. Bone volume, remaining teeth, infection, bite forces, smile line, jaw relationship and the design of the final bridge all matter.
If teeth are still present, ask why they should be removed and whether preserving any of them is a reasonable alternative. Full-arch treatment is difficult to reverse once teeth are extracted.
A fixed provisional bridge may sometimes be attached around the surgical phase when implant stability and the clinical plan allow it. That provisional bridge is not necessarily the definitive long-term bridge. Ask what material is used for the temporary restoration, how long it is intended to function, what diet restrictions apply and when the final bridge is made after healing.
The implant surgeon and restorative dentist need a shared plan for tooth position, bite, lip support, hygiene access and screw access. Angled posterior implants can be used in some full-arch concepts, but the decision depends on anatomy and prosthetic goals. Ask whether digital planning or a surgical guide is used and how the definitive bridge design was chosen.
One reason All-on-4 is marketed is the possibility of avoiding some grafting in selected cases, but it does not mean grafting is never needed. The treatment team should explain bone findings, why four implants are considered sufficient, and alternatives such as more implants, removable implant overdentures or conventional dentures where relevant.
A fixed bridge still needs daily cleaning around the implants and beneath the prosthesis. Ask for a practical demonstration of brushes, flossing aids or water-irrigation tools and confirm how often professional maintenance is expected. A bridge that looks good on treatment day is not successful if the patient cannot keep it clean.
Full-arch treatment may involve surgery and a temporary bridge on one trip, then a final bridge after healing on another. Ask which appointments are required, what happens if one implant lacks sufficient stability for immediate loading, and whether the final bridge is included in the original quote. Do not book a short return trip until the clinic confirms when postoperative review is safe.
The written scope should state extractions, number and brand of implants, grafting if needed, temporary bridge, final bridge, material, sedation or anaesthesia, laboratory work, scans, medicines, follow-up and any hotel or transfer inclusions. A package that lists “four implants + teeth” without distinguishing temporary and final prostheses is incomplete.
This page supports informed decision-making and does not replace an individual diagnosis. Suitability, medicines, treatment scope and aftercare must be confirmed by the treating clinician or dentist.
01 · Why patients consider this treatment
Start with the problem or goal, not the technique. A qualified treating clinician should confirm whether this procedure is relevant after reviewing your individual circumstances.
Ask whether teeth fitted around surgery are provisional or definitive, what material is planned and when the final bridge is reviewed or fitted.
Confirm whether extractions or grafting may be required and what findings could change the planned implant positions or staging.
02 · Suitability & planning
Suitability depends on diagnosis, history, anatomy, expectations and reasonable alternatives. The treating clinic decides which records, tests or examination are needed before a plan can be confirmed.
Ask whether teeth fitted around surgery are provisional or definitive, what material is planned and when the final bridge is reviewed or fitted.
Confirm whether extractions or grafting may be required and what findings could change the planned implant positions or staging.
Ask what determines immediate or delayed loading and how the bite is checked before you leave.
Clarify maintenance, cleaning, repair options and what the clinic will do if an implant or prosthetic component develops a problem.
03 · How the procedure is planned
The technical steps vary by method, findings and clinic. Ask what will actually happen, who performs the key clinical steps and what could change after the in-person assessment.
04
Records reviewed, clinician and plan confirmed, then practical travel is finalised.
Arrival, final clinical checks, treatment and immediate monitoring under the clinic protocol.
Medication, wound or symptom care, food, fluids and movement according to clinical instructions.
Confirm fitness to travel, take records home and know exactly who to contact after return.
05 · Recovery & results
Early recovery and final outcome are different milestones. Clarify what to expect in the first days, when routine or work may resume, when travel is considered appropriate and when results can be meaningfully assessed.

06 · Important considerations
Risks, limits and warning signs belong in informed consent. Ask what is expected, what is not, and what medical help should be available after you return home.
This page supports better questions; it does not replace individual medical assessment.
Assessment can change method, dates, cost or length of stay.
07 · Your journey with Turkelite
Once the medical plan and dates are confirmed, Turkelite Medcare organises the practical journey around them: information flow, flight timing, pickup, transfers, accommodation, clinic appointments, return travel and follow-up handover.
08 · Questions before you decide
Take these questions into the consultation. Good answers are more useful than marketing promises.
09 · What the written quote should settle
A useful quote does more than show a price: it makes responsibility, scope and the conditions that could change the plan visible.
10 · Find suitable clinic options
Instead of leaving you with a public clinic list, we start with your enquiry and then build a relevant shortlist of independent providers for this treatment area.
